Jurgenson was a known portrait painter and among his pictures are a portrait of pope Pius XII and three portraits of pope Paul VI (and by the way also one of the Swedish actress Ingrid Bergmann). Furthermore he made several documental films - the decline and salvation work of Pompeii, the excavation of tombs i Paestum, apostel Peter's tomb and bones under St. Peter's Cathedral. 1968 he also made a parapsychological film: The miracle in the St. Gennaros Cathedral in Naples.
